1. Acceptance of Terms and Eligibility

By accessing or using the Site, you represent that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you use the Site on behalf of a company, salon, school, or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms, and references to “you” include that organization.

The Site is not directed to children. You must be at least 16 years old to submit an inquiry form. If you are under 18, you should use the Site only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian. We may request confirmation of eligibility where reasonably necessary.

We may update these Terms from time to time as described in Section 19. Continued use of the Site after an update becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

2. Educational and Professional Disclaimer

Viom Academy provides educational content and professional training related to hair styling techniques and salon workflows. The Site may describe course topics, teaching formats, suggested practice approaches, and examples of learning outcomes. This information is provided for general educational purposes only.

We do not guarantee any specific professional, financial, or career outcome. Results vary based on individual practice time, prior experience, local market conditions in Norway, product/tool availability, and how consistently techniques are applied. Any examples of improvements (for instance, time savings or workflow clarity) are illustrative and may not be typical for every attendee.

Course participation does not create an employment relationship, and nothing on the Site should be interpreted as a promise of employment, client growth, earnings, or certification acceptance by a third party. If a course includes a certificate of completion, it reflects attendance and participation, not a license, authorization, or guaranteed competency level.

3. Description of the Site and Services

The Site is a lead-generation and informational platform describing Viom Academy courses delivered in Norway and providing a way to request course information. Through the Site, you may:

• Read about course areas such as cutting structure, color fundamentals, finishing and styling, and salon workflow documentation.
• Submit an inquiry form to request dates, prerequisites, and recommended training paths.
• Contact us by phone or email for administrative questions related to training logistics in Norway.

We may modify, expand, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site at any time. We do not promise that any specific page, feature, or content will remain available. We also do not promise uninterrupted access; downtime may occur for maintenance or for reasons outside our control.

4. Inquiries, Communications, and No Booking Guarantee

When you submit an inquiry, you agree to provide accurate, current information and to keep it free of misleading or unlawful content. We use inquiry details to respond, recommend a course path, and coordinate logistics (including location information for Lysaker and travel timing within Norway where relevant).

Submitting an inquiry does not guarantee a course seat, a specific course date, or any fixed price. Availability can depend on studio capacity, model/headform setup, and scheduling constraints. A booking (if offered) is confirmed only when you receive written confirmation from us through official channels.

You may receive communications from us by email or phone in response to your inquiry. Where required by law, we will request appropriate consent. For more information on how we process personal data, see our Privacy Policy.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Site. In particular, you must not (and must not attempt to):

• Use the Site for unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purposes, or in a manner that violates applicable laws or regulations.
• Submit false, deceptive, or impersonating information through forms or communications.
• Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Site or any related systems, or bypass security or access controls.
• Scrape, crawl, harvest, or index the Site with automated means beyond what is permitted by standard browser use, including using bots to collect content or personal data.
• Introduce malware, viruses, trojans, or any code intended to disrupt, damage, or exfiltrate information.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise derive source code or underlying structure except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by law.
• Use the Site in a way that unreasonably burdens infrastructure, interferes with other users, or disrupts normal operation.
• Access the Site from regions or for purposes where doing so would violate sanctions, export controls, or applicable restrictions.

We may suspend or restrict access if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or posed a security or operational risk.

6. Intellectual Property

The Site and all content on it—including text, course descriptions, visuals, design elements, trademarks, logos, and any compiled materials—are owned by or licensed to Viom Holding AS and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Site for your personal and internal business purposes (for example, evaluating course fit for a salon team in Norway). This license does not permit you to copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, publicly display, create derivative works, or exploit the Site content for commercial resale without our prior written permission.

“Viom Academy” and related marks are trademarks of Viom Holding AS. Any use of our marks without permission is prohibited.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

The Site may reference third-party services used for standard web functionality (for example, mapping tools accessed through your browser). We do not control third-party websites and are not responsible for their content, policies, or availability. Your use of third-party services is governed by the applicable third-party terms and privacy practices.

Where the Site provides a way to open an address in a map application, that functionality is provided for convenience only and does not imply endorsement of any third-party provider.

8. Disclaimers of Warranties

The Site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties and representations, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free from harmful components. We also do not warrant that content will always be current or complete, especially where course dates, prerequisites, and availability can change.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Viom Holding AS and its directors, employees, contractors, and invited teaching contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the Site.

To the extent liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability for any claims arising out of or relating to the Site or these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts paid by you to us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim (if any), or (b) NOK 1,200.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under Norwegian law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct, or statutory consumer rights where applicable.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Viom Holding AS from and against claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your misuse of the Site; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your submission of unlawful or infringing content via the Site; or (d) your violation of applicable laws or third-party rights.

11. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for delays or failures to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, severe weather, acts of war, terrorism, labor disputes, pandemics, government actions, power or network outages, cyberattacks, and failures of third-party hosting or cloud providers.

12. International Use

The Site is intended for users interested in training delivered in Norway. If you access the Site from outside Norway, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws. We make no representation that the Site or its content is appropriate or available for use in all jurisdictions.

13. Dispute Resolution and Informal Resolution Period

Before filing a formal claim, you agree to contact us and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days. To start this process, email [email protected] with a detailed description of the issue and the relief you seek. We will make a good-faith effort to respond and resolve the matter.

Nothing in this section limits your right to bring a claim in a court of competent jurisdiction where mandatory consumer protections apply.

14. Governing Law and Venue (Norway)

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or relating to the Site or these Terms will be governed by the laws of Norway, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Unless mandatory consumer laws require otherwise, the courts of Oslo District Court (Oslo tingrett) will have exclusive jurisdiction to resolve disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site.

If you are a consumer resident in the EEA, you may also have the right to bring proceedings in your country of residence under applicable consumer protection laws.

15. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent or harmful activity, or created a security risk. Termination does not limit any other rights or remedies available to us.

Sections intended by their nature to survive termination will survive, including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. Any invalid provision will be replaced by a valid provision that best reflects the original intent to the extent permitted by law.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Viom Holding AS regarding your use of the Site and supersede any prior understandings or agreements on the same subject matter.

18. Assignment

We may assign or transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms as part of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or by operation of law. You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent.

19. Modifications to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated Terms on this page and update the “Last Updated” date. Unless a different effective date is stated, changes become effective 14 days after posting.

Your continued use of the Site after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you should stop using the Site.

20. Electronic Communications

By using the Site and communicating with us electronically, you consent to receive communications from us electronically (for example, by email). You agree that electronic communications satisfy any legal requirements that such communications be in writing.
