Why we started
Viom Academy began in 2021 with a simple observation: many working stylists in Norway can perform strong services, yet still feel that results vary too much between clients. The gap usually isn’t “talent” or “taste.” It’s missing structure—clear sectioning maps, repeatable decision rules, and a way to audit a service when the silhouette feels off.
Large events can be inspiring, but they rarely offer enough repetitions or direct corrections. We designed the academy as a studio environment in Lysaker where technique is practiced methodically. Demonstrate, practice, correct, repeat. The goal is to make elevation, tension, placement, and finish control feel measurable—so the work holds up on a busy day and still looks clean in photos.
Mission
Make advanced technique teachable and repeatable
Our mission is to help hair artists across Norway turn strong ideas into consistent execution. We focus on the parts that make services predictable: head shape mapping, over-direction, weight line control, formulation logic, and finish sequencing. Each course is built with checkpoints so attendees can diagnose what changed when a result drifts.
Repeatable systems
We use mapping rules, timing cues, and note-taking habits so the same service can be repeated months later with less guesswork.
Hands-on correction
Coaching is practical and specific: section size, tension direction, elevation range, and finish control—measured in real time.
Documentation culture
Every attendee leaves with written notes: sectioning maps, formula notation, processing checkpoints, and a finish sequence.
Norway-first logistics
Courses run in Lysaker, with planning support for travel timing. We keep teaching brand-agnostic for product availability in Norway.
Educational note: Viom Academy provides professional education. We do not guarantee career outcomes, earnings, or specific client growth. Results vary by practice time and local market conditions in Norway.
Our teaching team
Courses are delivered by a small core team and invited specialist instructors. Each instructor is selected for practical teaching ability and a clear technical framework. When a module calls for a specific discipline—editorial finishing, advanced cutting structure, or color placement—we bring in an invited specialist with deep focus in that area. This keeps the curriculum current while staying grounded in what works in real appointments across Norway.
Invited specialist instructor

Over 10 years of salon delivery in Norway, with a focus on bobs, mid-length layers, and systematic detailing. Color fundamentals instructor (color formulation)
This instructor focuses on predictable lift and deposit using a formulation-first approach: underlying pigment awareness, timing discipline, and application cleanliness. 8+ years teaching working stylists in Norway how to document formulas and processing checkpoints so results can be repeated. Known for practical placement rules—slice vs weave decisions, saturation control, and toner timing that keeps finishes wearable.
Specialty: highlights mapping, root shadow logic, toner timing, formula notation habits.

Finishing and editorial styling (session styling)
This specialist teaches finishing as a system: section size rules, heat control, brush selection by density, and texture design that photographs well without looking overworked. 9+ years combining salon finishing with editorial sets in Norway and nearby markets. Known for timing-focused reps that make blow-dry services faster while keeping perimeter control and a cleaner silhouette.
Specialty: blow-dry sequencing, wave sets, tool selection, photo-ready texture control.
How we choose invited specialists
We look for instructors who can explain decisions, not just show results: how they choose sectioning, why they pick a particular elevation range, what they watch for when processing, and how they correct a finish when texture starts to drift. This makes the training transferable across salons in Norway, regardless of product line or tool kit. Instructor availability varies by course cycle; confirmed course communications will always state who is teaching each module.
